The Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis) on the polish seaside

Last time on Swinoujscie beach i was obserwed a tame, juv Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis). The bird was walking among people and feared nothing. So after a while was mine :) Hope that she will fly further to the south.

Hi,

just this experience we had some years ago at the German island Greifswalder Oie. We were very happy about the first Barnacle goos at the Greifswalder Oie (juvenile).... 6 months later we got the recovery report from the Hiddensee ringing centre: only ring found... at Greifswalder Oie... obviously killed by a fox.
Anyway, I wish good luck for your goose!
