Yesterday I read the yellow darvic ring PE87 on 1cy BHG in Malta lake, Poznan. It's from NEW 2013 Lithuanian project. The project has been started in commemoration for Vytautas Pareigis, who sadly passed away early april 2013 when reading gull rings.

Hope to see more Lithuanian gulls this winter.

Rythms of Nature in the Barycz Valley

I have found really nice movie about the Polish Barycz Valley by Artur Homan. There is nothing about bird ringing, but still worth a look. See how amazing and beautiful our nature is.

The White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla)

I've got this great photo of adult White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) from the nature photographers Andrzej Adamczewski and Piotrek Zientek. Recently they took some greats pictures of raptores near Mysliborz. One of them had a cr-ring. What's interesting the bird was ringed as chick in the East of Poland (500 km distance) on 2009. Please check more Andrzej's pictures at his website www.andrzejadamczewski.pl

The distribution of Polish cr-ringed eagles can be seen on the map below (green - recovery, red cross - found dead). Source and more information about this project: http://www.lto.org.pl/programy_obr_bielik.html
