BHG from Craotia

The gull season on the Miedwie lake is going to start. Today i observed about 150 roosting BHG there, a few with polish rings and one had white plastic ring with dark digits S552. It's bird from Croatia (my first recovery of BHG from there) so i am twice happy :) unlucky forgot my camera and don't have any photos.

Police, Poland

It's not good time to see ringed birds in PL now. Autumn and winter are better for sure. That reason i don't update this website so often :) Last time Zbyszek Kajzer (30.05.2007) observed the Common Pochard (Aythya ferina) with french nose sadle A ZD.

Baltic Sea trip [day 2]

Dziwnów, Zachodniopomorskie, Poland:

We are lucky today :) Saw a pair of mute swans (cygnus olor). The female had a german metal ring, male polish - nice marriage!
worse with the ring-read !? The Hiddensee swan rings are quite unreadable. Have small sign compare polish and also have more digits. That reason we caught this swan.

additionally we put a yellow plastic ring from the polish swan project. Shouldn't be any problems with reading in the future...
